Future Art Fairs

Parafin returns to the ‘Spotlight’ section of Frieze Art Fair New York showing works from Tim Head's rarely seen 1982 series of ‘Transient Space’ photographic collages, first shown at the gallery in 2017.

Past Art Fairs

Parafin is pleased to participate for the first time at ARCO Madrid showing work by Tim Head and Indrė Šerpytytė.

Parafin is pleased to participate for a second time in Frieze Sculpture showing new work by Hugo Wilson. Exploring the ways in which culture generates systems of belief and meaning,  Wilson draws upon diverse material – from Italian Baroque sculpture to the 1980s cartoon, Thundercats – to create a new super-reality in bronze, Pact, being shown for the first time in Regent's Park.

Parafin will participate at Art Brussels for the third time in 2018, this year showing work by Czech painter Hynek Martinec in the 'Discovery' section.

Parafin will make its debut at The Armory Show in 2018 with a solo 'Presents' booth with new work by Justin Mortimer.

Parafin will make its debut at Photo London in 2017 with the curated presentation 'Black Light', showing early works by Tim Head alongside work by Nancy Holt, Michelle Stuart and Katie Paterson.

Indrė Šerpytytė will premiere new works from her Pedestal series in the Focus section of Frieze New York at Randall's Island Park.

The dramatic Tour and Taxis building will host Art Brussels again in 2017. Parafin will show in the Prime section, with work by three artists often referencing the Old Masters in their work: Alison Watt, Hugo Wilson, and Uwe Wittwer.

Frieze Masters
Spotlight: Michelle Stuart
. Booth H12

6-9 October 2016

Parafin will be showing early work by Michelle Stuart, including an important series made in England between 1979-81, in the 'Spotlight' section of Frieze Masters in October 2016.

Chilean sculptor Fernando Casasempere will create a new site-specific installation for Frieze Sculpture Park comprising over 1,500 hand-sculpted porcelain elements. The carpet of porcelain will form a 'second skin' hovering over the ground of Regent's Park, mirroring its contours but also allowing the grass below to grow through the work, creating a direct relationship between sculpture and ground.

Parafin will showcase rarely seen work by Nancy Holt in the 'Spotlight' section of Frieze Art Fair New York.
