Two significant works by Uwe Wittwer acquired by The Metropolitan Museum of Art


New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art has recently acquired two major watercolours by Uwe Wittwer, At the Fountain after Poussin (2007), and Bacchanal after Poussin Negative (Diptych) (2008). Wittwer, who works in a variety of media including oil on canvas, watercolour and inkjet print, is represented in many major collections worldwide including the Kunsthaus Zürich, Sammlung Ludwig, Aachen, and the Kunstmuseum Bern.
